Attention to Our Fellow Citizens of Kadim Yeşilyurt:

Recently, we have observed that while expressing their opinions on the reconstruction of our Kadim Yeşilyurt, some of our fellow citizens have been using harsh, rude, and even insulting language. We are concerned that such behavior could lead to divisions, separations, and groupings. Therefore, we felt compelled to share this message with you to draw attention to this issue, to halt and correct this course of action as soon as possible, and to "ensure our Unity and Togetherness at a time when we need it the most."

The purpose of the "Çırmıhtı On-Site Reconstruction Platform," as indicated by its name, is to contribute to the reconstruction of our town in its original location, in a way that respects neighborly relations and is in line with its historical and cultural fabric. Up to this point, we have endeavored to proceed in accordance with the criteria we set at the outset. When we faced challenges, we tried to discipline and motivate each other by reminding ourselves of these criteria and commitments. Here, we would like to mention a few of our values under the heading "Our Values (Ethics of the Road)."

"Determination – Continuity – Patience" – "You should not have any personal demands or expectations" – "Make a positive contribution or remain silent" – "Consent should be obtained (Rights should be respected)." Yes, the road is long, exhausting, and challenging, but it should be traveled with patience and unity, personal desires should not be voiced along this path, and the general benefit of Çırmıhtı should be worked toward. Only statements that will contribute positively should be made, or silence should be maintained; expressions that could complicate the process or cause divisions should be avoided. Most importantly, based on the belief that "The right to manage one’s own property is sacred," the principle that "The property owner’s right to manage their property should be respected" should be adopted, and no one should benefit from another’s misfortune. We embarked on this journey with the belief that the final decision should be made by the people of Çırmıhtı, and we have been moving forward with these thoughts.

Dear Fellow Citizens, at this point, some may wish to build their homes themselves, while others may prefer that the government build them. We believe that everyone’s opinions and decisions should be respected, considering that not everyone has the same means and that there could be different thoughts and values. At the beginning of this journey, we expressed the desire and demand that neighborly relations and the demographic structure be preserved during the reconstruction of Çırmıhtı. Our concern is that if we do not respect everyone’s opinions and cannot maintain our unity and togetherness while deciding on the construction of our homes, we may end up building our homes as we wish, but we may find ourselves without neighbors, friends, or relatives with whom we can maintain these relationships.

On this occasion, we call upon our fellow citizens of Çırmıhtı and say, "Today is not the day for division or conflict; today is the day for Unity and Togetherness," and we invite everyone to contribute to this cause.
