On June 4, 2022, Tuesday, the “Ancient Yeşilyurt Local Initiative Commission” made its first visit to Yeşilyurt Mayor İlhan Geçit. During the visit, information was provided about the Ancient Yeşilyurt Consultation Council and its objectives. Information was also obtained about the ongoing plan and project activities of Ancient Yeşilyurt, and a request was made for the inclusion of the “Ancient Yeşilyurt Local Initiative Commission” in these processes through a protocol.

Our Mayor İlhan Geçit stated that the transformation of Ancient Yeşilyurt would be carried out in accordance with its original form and that a commission would be established in collaboration with Malatya Metropolitan Municipality. He mentioned that representatives from the “Ancient Yeşilyurt Local Initiative Commission” would be included in this commission, and the process would be managed together. Additionally, he congratulated the commission members on their work and thanked them.
